Last night my DD got broken into. It's actually not even my car, it belongs to my kid sister but she is away at college. Some f$^&*ing low life scumbag piece of sh!t smashed the passenger side window and stole the stereo. I fooking hate motherfawkers who have no respect for another person's property. On top of that, the car only has liability so I get to fork over $200 for a new window, and start looking for a new stereo. Car was parked in the street in front of my house. Detachable face was off and locked in the glovebox. I know all too well that an aftermarket stereo is tempting to thieves; personally I won't go aftermarket but my sister put the radio in. IMO, the guy was a professional thief...it snowed earlier that night, and my car was covered in snow...no other cars on the street had the windows brushed off as if someone was looking in, so I believe that the thief cased the car sometime prior and went directly to it. Also he didn't break anything other than the window...center console, wiring, even the locked glovebox was intact...As expected the cops took some cursory info over the phone and that was the end of that. So basically, this a$$hole is off free and clear with no worries of ever being caught. To top it off, the stereo was a cheap ass POS, can't be worth more than $20 on the street. Damn.
